I believe that everyone should get treated with respect, from the law, government, and people who work for the state of Oregon.
To me it's important for people to get respect, because nobody wants to be treated disrespectfully by anyone especially the law or government. I've always been told, "treat people with respect and you'll get respect back." So to be treated disrespectfully by the law and government, it makes people upset and hurt.
About 2 1/2 years ago I had gotten pregnant and my sister and her husband were going to adopt my baby. I was only 17 and not ready to have kids, I was into drugs and wasn't living in one place. When I went into labor and had a little baby boy the state immediately took him away from me and my family, for drug related reasons. I went to court and the appointed me a case worker and got me and my sister started on getting him back.
It took about a month for my sister to get him back in the family, the state kept trying to get me to work to get him back but would then go behind my back to my sister and tell her that I had said "I was going to take my son back, that I wanted him."
And then when I would go see my case worker I would confront
